Meet Tito Guerrero

I am the son of an immigrant entrepreneur who learned about how to operate and scale a business from my lived experiences, and later formal education. I had to rebuild and redefine myself at the age of 36 after serving 12 years in prison. While in prison I learned the power of mindset, the advantages of maintaining discipline, and the value of relationships. While in prison I took time to reflect not only on my actions that landed me there, but how my mindset, discipline and relationships played into it all. I took time to put a plan together and start working it prior to being released, so that I would have the habits I needed to start over. In 2009 I came home to a recession and a job market that was not very open to a convicted felon. Despite all of that, I took every obstacle as an opportunity to prove that my new mindset was stronger than anything that could be put in my way.

I had formulated a 1, 3, and 5 year plan for when I was released from prison. After just under 3 years I had exceeded my 5 year plan including doubling down on plan B, getting my college degree (I got both my BS and my MBA). I worked my way up from an entry level, minimum wage, truck driver position to an executive while also opening a consulting business. In a few years I brought my credit score from nothing to over 800 and have maintained it. I've assisted multiple nonprofits elevate their operations and business practices to maximize their profits to pour back into the mission including raising wages for their team members.

I have worked under great leaders and horrible leaders. I've learned from them all, but I focus on how to bring out the potential in people, help them reach their goals, and breakdown the barriers that they and others put up. I believe in being the change (that you needed). Which means when you think there is a better way to do something, then do it. The positive things you learn, pass them on. We can all be part of the change in ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.

Experience Matters

I started coaching and mentoring inmates in California State Prison Solano while I was still an inmate myself. After my release I mentored youth at a continuation high school. I later began coaching and providing training for returning citizens.

I have since had my own consulting business, went from an entry level truck driver to a senior executive in a nonprofit, coached and mentored professionals up to the executive level, created programs for reentry, created training for multiple businesses, and I opened a transitional living house. I have scaled small and large businesses, focusing on creating efficiencies, processes, and systems that meet the organization's strategic goals. I have also worked on creation, implementation, and monitoring of strategic plans.

After finding how to unlock my own true potential, I have focused on helping others do the same.
